Padded cycling shorts

So, usually, I have issues with discomfort on my kayaking seat.

One day, my wife and I were biking a trail and planned to kayak right after. I was wearing my padded bike shorts on the bike and didn't want to change, so I wore them on the kayak.

Amazingly enough, it was the most comfortable kayaking trip I've done. The padding in my shorts kept the discomfort away.

Has anyone else tried this? If not, you might want to!
